Prepare a Celiac Travel Bag

Traveling with celiac is already challenging enough to navigate. I recommend taking a celiac travel bag everywhere you go to make your life easier.

The purpose of the travel bag is to have a back up of safe food and products in case you arrive somewhere and they do not have celiac accommodations or get accidentally glutened. This is especially handy in an airport, if you get stranded or when taking long road trips.

*Here’s what I pack in my Celiac go-bag:

You can of course customize your own go-bag with what makes the most sense for you. For example, I have Atypical celiac and do not experience GI symptoms when I get glutened. Therefore, antacids won’t provide much relief for me. I do, however, experience nerve pain and swelling joints immediately upon glutening. A gluten free anti-inflammatory medication can sometimes provide limited relief of the swelling symptoms.

With Love & Safe Travels,

Celiac Cat
